Page One Resource Center - Building Stronger Communities

Welcome to Page One Resource Center, where we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive community for individuals of all ages and abilities. Our founder, Vickie Mendes-Branch, has always had a keen ear for the needs of others in the community. As a result, she embarked on a mission to address the concerns of parents who were worried about their children's social connections and the need for overall support.

Social Skills Groups for All Ages: At Page One Resource Center, we understand the importance of fostering strong social connections from a young age. To address this, we've developed a comprehensive social skills curriculum in collaboration with local educators. Currently, we offer two social skills groups: one tailored for children aged 3-9 and another for those aged 10 and above. Each social skills session features a unique theme, allowing participants to engage in activities like exploring themed sensory bins, crafting, and preparing themed snacks.

Support for Parents: We firmly believe that it takes a village to raise and support children, especially those with unique needs. Page One Resource Center offers a range of resources and support for parents. Our parent support groups focus on addressing the stressors related to raising children with unique needs. Additionally, we host "Transition Tuesday" sessions, which are designed to assist youth who are approaching the transition into adulthood. For parents and caregivers in need of a well-deserved break, our "Parents’ Night Out" events offer an opportunity to connect and unwind.

Self-Care and Mindfulness: Recognizing the importance of self-care, we offer yoga classes that emphasize the significance of breathing and mindfulness skills. We believe that taking care of oneself is a vital aspect of caring for others, as the saying goes, "you cannot pour from an empty cup."

Upcoming Programs: As Page One Resource Center approaches its opening anniversary, we are excited to announce the addition of a new ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) group and a series of training workshops in collaboration with other community providers. We are also actively exploring various recreational opportunities and an open gym concept to enhance our offerings and better serve the community.

At Page One Resource Center, we are dedicated to building a stronger, more connected community where individuals of all ages and abilities can thrive. Join us in our mission to make a positive impact on the lives of those with unique needs. Together, we can create a brighter future for everyone in our village.
